Hey, careful, man, there’s a beverage here

Yesterday was the official weigh-in day and as I suspected, my fat cells turned into Nihilists. They believe in nothing. I should have known since I had a good loss last week that this week I would fail to achieve. I know I shouldn’t expect the weight to melt off, but I would like it come off a tad bit more quickly. After contemplating the situation, certain things have come to light. In my quest to become a young trophy wife, in the parlance of our time, I have not been doing two things that will help in my quest to become an achiever

DRINK WATER AND EXERCISE

Yeah, yeah, yeah I did post about my exercise plans but I am having a difficult time keeping that schedule. Not for any particular reason other than I am lazy. I really don’t have a good reason I’m not drinking enough water either, I just know I should be drinking more. That is part of the reason I decided to go ahead and take some vacation time next week. Not to go visit a quiet little beach community, but to put myself through a little Southern Fried Fatty Boot Camp. My only goals are to exercise according to my plan everyday and to get some work done around the house, maybe organize some business papers. I will probably go see my sister’s new house and help her find a rug that really ties the room together. By the end of the week I should have established an exercise routine and a habit of drinking water as my beverage of choice.

So a week from next Wednesday I will be in a unique position to confirm or disconfirm that suspicion that lack of exercise and water are standing in my way. If the female form makes you uncomfortable, don’t stop by in two weeks because I’ll be closer to showing mine off! I do not plan to have to mark it zero. I am telling the fat cells that this aggression will not stand!

If you think I have lost my mind, you might be right. I just wanted to see how many phrases I could use from one of the best movies ever. I’ll be back to normal by my next post.

  • We must be related — I have the same problems not drinking enough water and wiggling out of my exercise plans (though I have done some – it’s not enough by any means).
SO…. I’ll beat you wet noodles if you do the same for me. :) As long we don’t end up eating the noodles we should be ok. hehehe
We could do a challenge ? Loser has to post a pictures of themselves in sweat clothes doing an exercise.

I think the loser should have to post a picture of themselves covered in wet noodles…..ummmm, noodles..I haven’t had pasta in about three months

  • The one thing that is consistent with all weight loss plans is drinking lots of water and exercise. I have increased my water intake but I still am not drinking as much as I should.

Good luck on your boot camp!

  • Water is a key to all sorts of health benefits. I wish carbonated beverages had never been invented. They’re the work of the devil, IMO.

    Keep going!

  • SO MUCH LOVE for the Big Lebowski. I only wish you had made use of the word johnson (pronounced like chon-son, of course). Great post.
Thanks Kate. We love it so much we named our dog Dude. I could refer to a rod or johnson without batting an eye. Have you seen the video on YouTube where someone had edited TBL and it only has every time they drop the f bomb? Hilarious!

  • That damn Marge. We may have to close the mail room and outsource that to India.

  • Doesn’t thinking about exercise count? ;-)

You have a plan and that’s the important thing.

I love The Big Lebowski. I saw that thing on YouTube…hilarious!

  • I, too, believe we must be related. Because I am positive that you have also uttered the phrase, “Don’t @#$% with the Jesus.” (With a funny accent, of course.)

  • I haven’t had noodles in long time either — but there is a machine out there that makes noodles out of almost anything including veggies — I have to track that down and put it on my Dear Santa list for Xmas. Lady Rose

  • Right there with u Dear I am a terrible water drinker and bad exerciser.. I am suppose to start the big turn next Monday.. pool ( as in swimming) 2 times a week.. and walking or riding my recumbent bike the other days… I am suppose to buy a new bathing suit this weekend.. my others are too big.. which is a good thing.. but I dread buying a new suit.. going to try and do that this weekend.. between my floral appointment and cake tasting appointment and stamps getting appointment for the wedding lol.. geez.. seriously the goal is I am suppose to get a new swim suit this weekend and hit the pool on Monday.. If i can master those two things.. I will be making the turn.. if not.. I am still on the same road.. still losing weight.. but it would all come together more if I added water and exercise.. funny how these two things seem like such huge road blocks and I have no idea why???

  • HA! SFF, our dog is named Walter.

  • I Love The Big Lebowski!

And that water thing, yeah, it actually works. Makes you have to pee ALOT (I was getting up 3-4 times a night) but once your body gets used to it, the need slows down.

Nice blog here and your header image reminds me of my Texas Grandma. Mmmmmmm!
    I’ll definitely be back.
