I so desperately want some ice cream now I would have a threesome with Ben & Jerry to get some!

I am so close to jumping in the car and going to the grocery store. I decided to post about it instead. This is an emergency situation. What can I do?? OK, stop and think….

Am I hungry or is this a craving??

Definitely a CRAVING. I have a feeling of tension and an unpleasant yearning in my mouth, throat, or body. Alright I’ve identified it. What do I do now??

Give myself NO CHOICE when it comes to giving in!!

Remember I do not have options here. I AM NOT HUNGRY! Therefore I will not eat.

Remind myself why I am doing all of this to begin with.

I read my ADVANTAGE RESPONSE CARD and visualized how it will feel to reach my goal weight.

I woke up at 5:00 this morning (during my vacation) to go to spin class. I’m not going to make it all for nothing by consuming empty (but delicious) calories.

OK Southern Fried Fatty…BREATHE

Wow, I really do feel so much better. I’m going to drink a big glass of water right now. Too bad I made it through this episode….I guess I will have to wait to find out what inspired CHUNKY MONKEY. I also missed an opportunity to help invent a new flavor…….

Congrats for fighting off that craving. That was inspirational. Except that you reminded me of ice cream’s existence.

  • Good for you, SFF!

Now, if I could only quit rationalizing eating things like ice cream and cake. My “good” side says “Don’t do it!”

My evil side says, “Milk is good for your bones. Ice cream has milk. Therefore, ice cream will keep you from falling and breaking your hip in 20 years. Cake has eggs and milk. Eggs and milk are healthy breakfast foods. Hence, cake is good for breakfast”.

Why do I have to be so darn intellectual? LOL

  • well I am a substitute kinda girl.. so I always try and find frozen delicacies I can have with in reason and that are not spoilers to my hard work but satisfy me just the same or pretty darn close…
Great job on fighting the craving though!!!!

  • Good for you! It’s easy to know the difference between hunger and appetite. It’s not so easy to make the right choice.

Water’s soooo good for the skin!

  • Very good on the craving resistance!!!

Last night, my husband pulled out a three-pack of those Almond Roche chocolates. One for each of us. I turned mine down. My son thought I was nuts. I explained to him that there were certain things I could live without. If I’m going to eat those calories, I’d rather spend them on something I like rather than waste them on something I didn’t feel that interested in. I’m like that with potato chips too. Can live with out them. Getting that way with french fries. I now prefer my hamburgers with lettuce and tomato and nothing else. My tastes have definitely changed, and I think it’s because of how I choose to spend my calories. Somehow, spending them on mayonnaise isn’t as appealing….

Ever since I been following the Beck Diet Solution and trying to resist craving/overeating I have noticed that things I would eaten without much thought before, I don’t even really like all that much. I now only eat what I know I really like.
