Thanks to everyone for all of the good wishes on my Nutrisystem journey. I started on Monday the 15th (one week ago). I did not weigh myself on that day so I don’t know where I started. On my Nutrisystem profile page I put my start weight at 245, which is actually more than I weighed when I started this blog, but I hadn’t weighed in a long time and based on how my clothes fit, I was guessing. So I weighed this morning and I am at 235. So my real starting weight was probably around 239, because on the 16th I weighed about 238. Are you following??? Good.
It has been suggested that I take pictures of the Nutrisystem food and post it compared to the pictures they provide on the website. I think that is a pretty good idea but I don’t think I will make a habit of it. Why?? Because I don’t want the Nutrisystem Mafia after me. The actual food is nowhere close to looking like the pictures, I mean NOWHERE CLOSE AT ALL. That really doesn’t bother me at all, as long as it tastes good. I will post a few pictures of the actual food, but first I have to buy batteries for my camera.
I’ve also started a rating system for the food. it is on a scale from 1-5:
5 really good, I will order again
4 good enough but not my favorite
3 I’ll eat if I have to
2 good enough to put in my natural disaster survival kit
1 I will only ingest it intravenously
Oh yeah. I started this fatblogging thing a little over 6 months ago. I’m supposed to be skinny by now!! At least I haven’t given up!

You might want to strive for “healthy” rather than “skinny” and it might be easier to make good choices about food and exercise. Good luck!

I have a friend who completed overeaters annonyomous and was very successful. She is about the only one I know that has a great attitude about life and boundries but doesn’t struggle with temptation and kept the weight off.
Wish you all the best!

You’ve got your head on right, SFF. The weight will come off as you continue to think about what you are doing!

Don’t set a timetable. It will happen as it happens. It’s annoying I know. I have to say that I agree with Lisamm — strive for healthy not skinny. It will be easier because we can be healthy every day — being skinnier takes a lot more work and more wear and tear on our nerves.
I love your rating system! It’s perfect! Keep up the good work!
