Anyway, I feel like hammered sh*t these days. After doing a little research I’ve decided that I might try a Raw diet. I’m looking for any advice I can get. So if you have testimonial in support of or against a raw diet, please post it here. I bought this book as a start:
I’ve decided that it might help to start slow. I’m going to Whole Foods this afternoon and buying the ingredients to make Raw Hummus.

Too restrictive for me. Plus, there is no way the Hubster would go for it. I had a co-worker who was a long time vegan switch to the raw diet. She must not have been doing something right, because she was always coming down with something.

Too restrictive for me, too but I wouldn’t discourage anyone from trying it out if you think it might suit you!

Raw oysters – good
Raw pork – bad
Rawhide – don’t wear it to work.

The raw diet is very restrictive. Maybe start with a cleanse, and then eat mostly vegan, with lots of raw fruits and veggies. I’m better at saying this than living it, but moderation in all things, including chocolate and burgers.

I agree with Kate^. Only I did vegetarian instead of vegan, so that I was sure to get the calcium and vitamin D I needed from dairy. I did it for about 3 months and lost some weight. More than anything, my body just felt better. I still don’t eat a whole lot of meat, but I can’t resist a good burger every now and again.

I cannot bring myself to eat raw food. I just cannot do it! I have been using these fabulous bike shorts from fitandsharp.com that have already helped me lose 2 inches from my hips. Raw food…never!
