I got up at 5:00 this morning and went to the gym. Yea me! I walked a snail’s pace for 40 minutes on the treadmill. Better than nothing. The fact is I can’t do much more because my body is in a state of advanced atrophy. I definitely feel my weight and my age (plus ten years.) One day at a time…one day at a time.

When I was doing the jazzercize years ago, I would stop off at Arby’s on the way to class for a Beef and Cheddar to help me get more energy for them moves. You ever try that?

Rondell-
I usually wait until after I exercise and then go through the drive thru. The past couple of years the window in my car wouldn’t roll down so that cut out my drive thru visits. You see, I am too lazy to actually get out of my car and walk in the store. Love your blog!

I normally wait until after class and go through Krispy Kreme’s drive through for 2 doughnut and a coke (you notice I did not say diet coke). My thought behind that is…..you are eating Krispy Kremes….what is a few extra calories?

Glad you made it to the gym and on the treadmill, no matter what the pace.

Hi SFF-
This is my new favorite blog! I miss fried chicken, and it’s hard to come to the site and not get hungry. I started WeightWatchers a couple of months ago, and have been successfully loosing. While it’s been good and effective, I still have moments of extreme weakness where I miss cheese, pasta, and desserts. *sigh* Looking forward to reading and cheering you on.

JJ-
When I found the picture of the fried chicken I tried to find the greasiest, nastiest picture out there. It still makes me want fried chicken though. Weight Watchers is about the only thing that has ever worked for me. That and once I had a bad breakup, that worked too. Since I can’t convince my husband to leave me I will probably start again with Weight Watchers. The best thing about WW is that you can really have just about anything in moderation.
I’m glad you enjoy my blog. I’m going to do my best to post more often. Keep in touch!

SFF-
I used to feel jealous when people would tell me they lost weight after having the stomach virus. These are the emotional mind games associated with never really feeling thin. *sigh* But barring a break up, the stomach flu and actually wiring my jaw shut, WW seems to be a decent/healthy option.
I can’t believe you thought that picture was nasty! It looks sooo yummy to me. I was back home (TN-but I am definitely a Bama fan), and only let myself eat fried chicken on the last day there (literally before I got on a plane). I think it was a good idea not to let it happen earlier in my visit. Fortunately, the backyard tomatoes were ripe and delicious (and ok for my diet), so I ate those every day like it was my job.
Will check back soon!
